Analyst Position:
As a member of our team in an entrepreneurial environment, the successful Analyst will participate in multiple consulting engagements in various consumer loan asset classes, such as mortgages and student loans while working with our clients and management team directly in performing key duties such as:
• Create, control, update and generate reporting from information data bases
• Participate in project planning
• Prepare information analysis for procedures and reports, assembling data from various sources into a database and using data to create useable information
• Prepare project deliverables including written reports, data files and PowerPoint presentations
• Monitor and analyze reporting of service providers
• Interface with clients, loan servicers, investors and other third parties
• Prepare valuation analysis
• Conduct due diligence of loans and loan portfolios
• Work with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate and operate major projects, coordinating schedules and activities, placing orders for services, and tracking progress and results

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant business field
• 2-3 years experience in the banking, mortgage or consumer finance segments
• Strong financial and data analysis skills utilizing database applications
• Advanced Excel skills, as well as ability to efficiently complete assignments in Word and PowerPoint
• Strong problem solving, decision-making and organization capabilities
• Ability and willingness to multi-task and re-prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a highly professional environment
• Team oriented work style
• Excellent prioritization skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines
• Ability to travel periodically

In this key client serving role with corporate clients this person will perform a variety of functions serving fund and asset management clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting
• Performs cash and portfolio reconciliations
• Generates shareholder allocation, and incentive and management fee calculations
• Prepares budget for each fund
• Processes capital distributions to investors
• Participates in month end closing and valuation process
• Reviews reporting and information to clients and investors and ensures accuracy
Administrative
• Monitors clients cash receipts and application to investments
• Records journal entries in QuickBooks
• Generates income and expense accruals
• Processes funding of new investments
• Processes disbursements for clients
Reporting
• Prepares asset tracking and net asset value calculations
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual client financial statements
• Investor and operations reporting
• Client income distribution and funding operations
• Hedge fund management reporting

Required Qualifications and Personal Characteristics:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in hedge fund or private equity accounting
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Advanced MS-Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Data Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, XIRR, VBA macro-writing)
• Strong problem solving, decision-making and organizational capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with clients
• Superior attention to detail and thoroughness
• Collaborative, team-oriented work style with willingness to learn

This is a unique opportunity in south Florida. As a member of our collaborative team in an entrepreneurial environment, the successful Analyst will be working directly with a high growth, dynamic $5 billion New York-based SEC registered alternative investment advisory firm in the exciting credit administration and analysis part of their business. across various debt and equity investments.
The role combines the use of data science and data manipulation coupled with credit administration serving corporate borrowers.

• Manage daily administration of investments to ensure collateral adequacy and compliance with agreements prior to funding
• Perform credit analysis and portfolio reporting using advanced analytics languages, such as Python and Power BI
• Monitor and analyze service provider reporting
• Understand complex loan documents and transaction structures
• Monitor the transaction covenants, cash flows, reporting and events
• Interface with clients and other third parties
• Prepare project deliverables including written reports, data files presentations
• Update borrower and collateral profiles and monitor key performance indicators

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, analytics or relevant business field
• Direct experience in assessment and monitoring corporate and commercial loans
• Python or Power BI experience a plus
• 3-5 years of experience at a finance or lending company, commercial bank, specialty servicing company or an investment firm
• High levels of ownership and drive, able to work in Team oriented work style
• Strong problem solving, decision-making and organization capabilities
• Ability and willingness to multi-task and re-prioritize in a fast-paced environment
